Manila, Philippines–A month after retiring from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, former chief of staff General Emmanuel Bautista is back in government service, this time as an undersecretary at the Office of the President (OP).
Malacañang on Tuesday confirmed Bautista’s appointment, copies of which were released to reporters. However, it did not mention what particular post he is assigned to.
Bautista’s appointment papers were signed by President Aquino last Aug. 8.
Aquino earlier announced that Bautista would return to government service as a civilian
