Every struggle leaves us with heroes.
The recent Zamboanga City humanitarian crisis has left us with 18 of our comrades in the Armed Forces of the Philippines killed in action while 166 are still recovering from wounds.
The acts of heroism that they exhibited on the field in the face of danger before Nur Misuari’s men under the Moro National Liberation Front since early September. They and their families deserve due honor and attention from the Filipino people that they promised to protect and sacrifice for.
In an effort to give assistance to our Zambo heroes and in line with the thrust of the Philippine Army to promote excellence in soldiery by taking care of each soldier, the AFP will be hosting “Bingo Para sa Tropa,” which is a charity bingo game.
The objective of the event is to raise funds to give gifts and other necessities to the many heroes of Zamboanga and Basilan.
The event will be held on October 08, 2013 (day), 1:00 pm at Ricarte Hall, Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Those who would like to contribute to our effort may avail tickets for the bingo games for P100.00 a piece.
By purchasing tickets and joining the games, you can take part in our aim of uplifting our heroes’ souls and easing their and their families’ burdens.
Our code in the military taught us never to leave our brothers and sisters behind.
This is our way of thanking them for the selfless sacrifice that they had given and are willing to give for every Filipino.
